A CHARITY which recycles unwanted items of furniture has gone into partnership with a housing group.
The Richmond and Hambleton Furniture Store, based in Northallerton, has joined forces with Broadacres.
Charity chairman Michael Brown said the move would bring "security and stability" for its future.
The charity was established in 1989 and is based on the Standard Way Business Park, in Northallerton.
Mr Brown said: "Broadacres brings the charity security and stability for the future.
"In fact, we are already talking about expansion of our services and moving into new premises in the centre of Northallerton."
Steve Towers, managing director of Broadacres, said: "We believe the furniture store provides a much-needed service, more so when things are a little tight for many people."
The charity operates in the Richmondshire and Hambleton districts and collects unwanted items of good quality furniture and large electrical items which are sold on.
The prices vary according to the item and there is no charge for collection or delivery.
