YOUNG performers have been warming up for their chance to shine at Redcar's Kirkleatham Museum next weekend.
The free 'Shine' festival is showcasing the achievements and talent of young people involved in Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Creative Links programme.
The aim is to beat last year's success when more than 2,000 visitors were entertained by 200 participants - and this year there will be more to see with a range of performances, demonstrations and creative workshops.
One of the main attractions will be a dance performance by 20 students from Laurence Jackson School, Guisborough with a routine based around good versus evil.
There will be drumming, face painting, puppet making, DJ-ing, street dance, circus skills, spray painting, film and animation plus much more.
Work on the performances began in October at after school workshops across the Borough, with the final programme put together by seven Young Leaders.
The performance takes place on Sunday, July 12, from 11am-4pm.
