A DRIVER was arrested after a three-vehicle crash on the A688 in County Durham last night (WEDS).

The collision took place at 5.15pm near Bracks Farm, Bishop Auckland.

Police said two vehicles collided, causing one to cross onto the wrong side of the road, where it crashed head-on into a third car.

One of the drivers, a man from Crook, was arrested.

It is not thought that anyone was seriously hurt in the crash.

Police closed the road for around an hour while debris was removed.
