SUPERMARKET workers are banding together to raise cash for a school which caters for children with learning difficulties.
A charity car wash will be held by staff of Sainbury’s Local in Front Street, Framwellgate Moor, Durham, from 9.30am to 4pm on Friday (July 3) - washes range from £5.
Sharon Bowman, colleague council representative at the store, said: "Proceeds will go to Trinity Becks School in Aykley Heads.
"We have chosen the school as the charity for our store 2009 and hope to raise cash to help them buy play equipment.
"The school is only a small distance away from the shop and some of the children come in with their parents.
"We hope to plan hold a special fund-raising event every month."
