A SCHOOL is celebrating after securing two outstanding inspection results.
In the first, St. Bernadette's RC Primary School in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, was praised by Ofsted for delivering some inspirational lessons.
The report stated that when children started at the nursery school their attainment was typical for their age in all areas but when they leave in Year 6 they have made outstanding progress and achieved significantly above average results in national tests for the past five years.
In a letter to pupils, OFSTED lead inspector, Rosemary Rodger, mentioned how awe inspiring it was to see the magnificent work on display in the school and complimented them on their hard work and behaviour.
Headteacher, Mary Cobbold said: "Im absolutely delighted that the inspectors recognised the skills and achievement of all the children and the quality of the exciting curriculum.
"This is testament to the fact that our staff and governors will walk the extra mile for the children in our care."
The second inspection to judge the teaching of Religious Education and the Catholic Life of the school was commissioned by the RC Bishop of Middlesbrough.
Again the school was judged to be outstanding and the inspector recognised the excellent home/school/parish partnership.
