Hartlepool Police has seen an increase in thefts from cars recently.
PC Steve Cranston, from Hartlepool Police crime Prevention Unit, said: "We want to remind motorists to not only remove Sat Nav’s and the cradle from the car but to wipe the windscreen to remove the tell tale suction mark."
Hartlepool Crime Prevention Panel are selling Nav Mats priced at £20 from Atkinsons Print, Church Street.
