MUSIC legend Paul Weller played to a packed crowd of 5,000 people this weekend at a special outdoor gig.
The Modfather treated fans to some of his greatest hits from the last three decades of his career in the middle of Dalby Forest at the sell out gig, which lasted for more than an hour and 40 minutes.
The concert was part of the Forestry Commission’s Live Music 2009 tour, which also saw pop-rockers McFly play at Dalby on Friday, to raise money to support projects in the forest.
Although the weather was not perfect for an outdoor gig, fans packed into the tree-lined field at Adderstone Field, which had been transformed into a concert arena, with hundreds of feet of cabling and lights.
Weller, who began his career with The Jam before joining The Style Council and then going on to become a solo artist, recently released his ninth solo studio album, 22 Dreams.
He previously played at Dalby Forest in 2004, again to sell out crowds.
