Drug users in York are being warned about a possible batch of contaminated heroin being distributed in the city.
The warning comes after a 28-year-old woman was found dead in public toilets after a possible overdose on Saturday night.
The death is the third drug-related death in the city since June 11 and detectives are appealing to drug users, and the wider community, to come forward if they have heard of any contaminated drugs being supplied.
North Yorkshire Police is also working with West Yorkshire Police after four similar deaths in Bradford in recent weeks.
Anyone with information is asked to call York CID on 0845-60-60-247, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
