POLICE are hunting a knifeman who terrified staff at a convenience store before fleeing with cash.
The raider struck at the McColls convenience store on King Edward’s Drive, Harrogate, at about 10.20pm on Thursday.
A hooded man entered the store and threatened staff with a knife. He demanded money before making off with cash towards the Albany Road area of the town.
No members of staff were injured, although they were left shaken.
The raiders was described as 5ft 9in to 6ft tall, medium to stocky build, aged between 20 and 30, and wearing a dark hooded jacket.
Officers from Harrogate CID are appealing from witnesses who were in the shop just prior to the incident, who were in the area around this time and anyone else who may have any information that could help identify the offender.
