PRINCESS ANNE will visit a charity shop in a market town during a two-day visit to the region next week.
In her role as the charity’s president, the princess will meet volunteers at the Save the Children shop, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, next Wednesday.
Myra Rudd, a volunteer at the shop said: "All the volunteers are really looking forward to meeting The Princess Royal.
"Although the shop will be closed for trading on the day, we hope the public will turn out in force to welcome her.
"We are delighted she will be visiting us and hope that this event encourages the local community to continue to support Save the Children with donations and their patronage."
On Thursday, the princess will visit the charity’s shop in York as well as opening a new community centre in Easingwold.
