Old Crows/Young Cardinals is the new, fourth studio album from American rock band Alexisonfire. Most of the album was written at home, following a long stint on the road. Lead vocalist George Pettit said he was unaware of the direction in which the band was heading next but knew that on the new record the band had to put the knife in screamo. Opening track Old Crows has all the usual band characteristics, with its blend of punk rock guitars and fast tempo it makes it the ideal start to the record. Lead off single Young Cardinals is more laid back with Dallas Green's unique vocals standing out as usual, weaving inbetween second vocalist George Pettit. As always fierce energy is thriving through Alexisonfire and tracks such as 'Sons of Privilege', 'Born and Raised' and 'No Rest' show this. They are tight, fast and consistent. Alexisonfire have returned and are better than ever.
Out June 22nd.
