FIVE safari-themed parties for children with disabilities and their families are taking place this summer.
The free parties include activities such as arts and crafts, games and fancy dress competitions, and are open to members of Durham County Council's Children's Network.
The first event is on Friday, July 31 at Stanley Community Centre between 1pm and 4pm.
Other events follow on Friday, August 7 at the East Lea Community Centre, in Seaham, between 1pm and 4pm; on Saturday, August 15 at the King James Community Arts College, in Bishop Auckland, between noon and 3pm; on Friday, August 21 at the Laurel Avenue Community Centre, Durham City, 1pm to 4pm; and on Friday, August 28 at Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre, between 1pm and 4pm.
