YOUNGSTERS from a Guisborough school enjoyed a taste of Australia with cooked kangaroo, crocodile and ostrich.
Professional chef Mark Chamberlain demonstrated his skills to pupils at Highcliffe Primary School today Redcar and Cleveland Council's Mayor Councillor Brian Briggs got the pleasure of tasting the treats, along with the children at the event, which was held as part of the official opening of the chef’s Chamberlain Restaurant, in Redcar.
Headteacher Jackie Woodhead said: "Consultations across the Guisborough community have shown that there is great interest in cookery and healthy eating amongst our families.
"The community kitchen gives children and their families access to a purpose-built facility in which they can enjoy learning and cooking together."
