POLICE are trying to trace a pensioner who went missing from home last night.
Bob Shaw, 77, was last seen at the house he shares with his daughter and her family in St John's Walk, Escomb, near Bishop Auckland, just after 7pm yesterday.
At 8.20pm last night, CCTV footage reveals Mr Shaw getting off the number one Arriva bus in Darlington, near the White Heifer pub in the West Park area.
Sergeant Nicola Lawrence, from Durham Constabulary, said it was out of character for Mr Shaw to stay away from home, and not make contact with his family.
She added: "Mr Shaw has no family or friends in Darlington that we are aware of.
"His family are very concerned for his well-being as he needs medication for a number of conditions and hasn't taken any with him.
"I would urge him to contact us and his family so we can be sure he is safe and ask anyone who thinks they have spotted him or has any information regarding his whereabouts to call us."
Mr Shaw is described as bald with some hair on the side of his head. He has blue eyes and wears glasses.
He was last seen wearing a zipped shell-suit type top, which is yellow on the bottom, and dark coloured on the top, with a dark blue polo shirt with stripes around the top.
He was carrying a blue cloth holdall thought to contain clothing.
Anyone with information should call Bishop Auckland police on 0345-60-60-365.
