A TEENAGER from Newton Aycliffe has disappeared after going to visit friends in York.
Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of 14-year-old Jack Hester-Wox.
He caught the 7.30am train from Darlington railway station on the morning of Saturday, June 13.
Jack, who lives with foster parents in Bloomesley Close, Newton Aycliffe, had been due catch the last train home that night - but failed to arrive. He has been spoken to on the telephone but refuses to reveal where he is staying.
He is described as 5ft 11ins tall, slim with short light brown hair and blue eyes.
When he went missing he was wearing dark blue jeans, a blue “Kappa” tracksuit top and black Timberland shoes.
PC Matthew Edwards of Durham Police said that Jack is originally from the York area and although they do not believe he is in any danger there are concerns because of his age and the fact that he has refused to disclose where he is staying.
Anyone who may know where he is are asked to ring 0345 6060 365 for the attention of the Duty Sgt at Newton Aycliffe Police Station.
