A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with two attempted abductions of young women.
A 17-year-old female has been grabbed by a man, described as aged around 19-20 years old, today at around 9am on Catcote Road, Hartlepool.
Although shaken, the woman has no injuries and managed to break free and make her way to safety before calling police.
Officers, supported by the Air Support Unit, searched the area for the man.
The attempt could be linked to an earlier incident on Tuesday when a male tried to grab a young teenager as she was walking through Burn Valley Park in Hartlepool.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the two incidents in Hartlepool, one on Catcote Road this morning and the incident in Burn Valley Park on Tuesday."
