A TEACHER followed on the success of his first novel with the publication of a second yesterday.
David Jowsey, who teaches at Ravensworth Junior School in Normanby, Middlesbrough began writing his first book in a teachers’ workshop and had no idea it would be picked up by a global publisher.
Within a week, the book sold 1,000 copies and the press had to rush order a second print. The book has sold in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Spain.
His second novel Shattered Truths: The Past Holds a Secret follows on the story of the first novel’s protagonist Tom Richards.
Mr Jowsey said: “Tom must fight to protect the existence of the human race. But how can he confront a dark and treacherous power that threatens to destroy everything the human race has achieved, when the individual behind it turns out to be the person he least expects?”
Mr Jowsey added: “I am absolutely thrilled with the publication of the sequel. Communities in Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas have been absolutely fantastic and very supportive of my writing efforts. I would like to thank them for helping me achieve my success.”
Shattered Truths will be available at all local book shops. To learn more visit www.sigelpress.com.
