A WOMAN remains in intensive care today after suffering serious facial injuries in a mystery incident in a North Yorkshire village.
The un-named woman, in her early 50s, was found by the police in a house in Ingleby Arncliffe, near Northallerton, at 4.10pm yesterday.
She was airlifted to the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, by the Great North Air Ambulance.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said today the woman is in a serious but stable condition, and investigations are on-going to determine what took place.
But officers are not treating the incident as suspicious and are not looking for anyone else in connection with it, added the spokesman.
Anyone who can help with the police enquiries should call 0845-6060247 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
