AN amateur dramatic group from north Durham is putting on a show to celebrate the 65th anniversary of D-Day.
The CBS Musical and Stage Society has rehearsed a 1940’s show entitled We’ll Meet Again.
It being performed at the Empire Theatre, Consett on Friday and Saturday (19 and 20 june) at 7.15pm. Group spokesman Virginia Aken said: "It will comprise of a mixture of good old songs from the war years and will give you a flavour of the era with comedy, costumes and memories from the time that we should never forget. "With songs from our old favourite stars such as Marlene Dietrich, George Formby, Gracie Fields, The Andrews sisters, Flannagan and Allen, and many, many more, it will take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane."
