ORGANISERS are putting the finishing touches to an annual community event to raise money for charity.
Lanchester Lions are putting on their yearly carnival on Saturday and hope to raise up to £3,000.
A parade featuring veteran cars and Lanchester Brass Band will leave Kitswell Road at 1pm.
Sideshows, children’s rides and a charity stands as well as refreshment stalls will be set up on the village green.
Lions secretary Brian Naylor said: "It is for a very good cause and a very nice part of village life."
Funds raised at the carnival will distributed among worthy causes in the community.
