FIRE engines were called to a blaze at some derelict houses on Sunday evening.
Nobody was injured in the fire at the four maisonettes at Clyde Court, Doxford Park, near Sunderland.
The heat from the fire, which started shortly before 7.40pm, damaged glass and plastic on several occupied nearby houses.
