A 60-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to hospital with a broken pelvis and other injuries after his car hit a deer and crashed.
The accident happened on the A170, near Sutton Bank, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire, at about 4.50pm, on Friday.
Fire crews from Thirsk and Helmsley attended the incident, along with ambulance crews and the Great North Air Ambulance.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival, crews found a single-vehicle road traffic collision.
"The vehicle had hit a deer and swerved, hit a tree and bounced back onto the road.
"A 60-year-old male was trapped inside the vehicle.
"He was released by the fire brigade."
He was airlifted to hospital suffering from a broken pelvis, as well as injuries to his face and arms.
