MORE than 30 people from across Europe visited a college campus as part of an international schools networking programme.
Staff and pupils from across the continent visited East Durham College’s Houghall campus, near Durham, as part of the Comenius Project.
The group toured the farm collecting eggs, chasing chickens and being introduced to other animals.
They went to Houghall as part of a visit to Portland College, in Sunderland.
Janet Wilkinson, from Houghall, said: "It has been delight to help Portland College and their international visitors.
"It’s also been great to see our students taking over showing our guests round rather than them having to listen to me all day."
Stacey Thompson, from Portland College, said: "The Comenius Project is a great way to enhance continuous personal development for the staff and offers the students a fantastic opportunity to learn about other cultures.
"We have a long relationship with Houghall and were delighted that the team were happy to spend time with our visitors."
