MORE than 120 students and young people will take part in four days of voluntary work in their community.
The group, from King’s Church, in Durham, will do gardening for the elderly, face painting for children and put on entertainment in the city centre.
On Saturday, June 20, there will be various events taking place in Gilesgate and Newton Hall.
Organisers say the June Project is part of an extensive community involvement programme and participants are keen to show God’s love for the people of Durham and give something back to the city.
The event will run from Wednesday, June 17, to Saturday, June 20.
It will be followed by a church service aimed at guests at King’s Church, in Dunelm House, New Elvet, on Sunday, June 21, from 10.30am.
