A HEADTEACHER has praised her schools working environment after receiving a glowing Ofsted report.

Ingleton C of E Primary School, near Barnard Castle was inspected in March.

The school, which has 47 pupils, received Good ratings all but one of the categories.

In the Personal Development and Well-being category, the school was rated as Outstanding.

In his report, Ofsted inspector Tom Grieveson, said: "Pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is excellent and is reflected in their behaviour, their actions and the care and concern they demonstrate towards their peers.

"They demonstrate a clear understanding of right and wrong."

The school was also given an Anglican School inspection and the report said it had a "lively and happy learning community where children make good progress in their spiritual moral and social development."

Head teacher Judith Pressley said: "Staff, pupils and governors all work very happily together here and I really think that came through strongly in the report.

"The children are lovely here and we have a really good environment.

"There are always improvements to be made and we will take those on board but we are delighted with the report as a whole."
