VISITORS to the North York Moors National Park can join a local artist in creating art pieces with which to personalise sketchbooks.
Steve Iredale, of Staithes, near Whitby, is to run a workshop at the Moors National Park Centre, in Danby.
He makes books which combine traditional book-binding and paper-making with his interest in wood-carving.
Those taking part in the workshop will create their own A4 sketchbook which to be decorated with marbled paper.
Sally Smith, the park authority’s events and exhibitions co-ordinator, said: "A sketchbook is a great resource for anyone looking to improve their drawing skills.
"An artist’s sketchbook is like a writer’s journal and can become a very treasured collection of memories as well as an inspiration for new work."
The sketchbook workshop is on Saturday, June 27, and costs £15, including materials, with entry to the Centre and exhibition free.
