A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering his teenage cousin.
Jonathan George Charlton, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody following a brief appearance at Teesside Magistrates Court today.
The 21-year-old from Middlesbrough was arrested following the death of Ian Craig Charlton on Friday night.
Police and ambulance crews were called to an address in Caldicot Close, Grangetown, Middlesbrough, following reports a man had been stabbed.
The 18-year was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of an off-duty nurse who frantically tried to resuscitate him.
Mr Charlton will appear before Teesside Crown Court on Thursday.
