Five words, this show will rock you. It has every element a good theatre production should; comedy, music, drama, good storyline etc, etc, etc.
The show is based on the famous band Queen. The songs are the hits Queen composed and even the storyline it based on the song lyrics to the famous “We Will Rock You”.
On the showings of We Will Rock You, you could purchase brochures, programmes and loads of merchandise to do with the show.
The production was brought to life at the Dominion theatre in London. It was written by the element of Queen and Ben Elton. The original director was Christopher Renshaw.
The storyline is all rock; it’s style, its sex, its rebellion and mostly its FREEDOM! The storyline has it all. It’s about a boy and a girl who are different to the “gaga world” and this expression of their feelings gets them into trouble, but also gives them an adventure when they attempt to escape this prison and stumble upon “The Bohemians”. The Bohemians are the rock and roll of this new computerised generation and they are trying to bring back the rock and roll with, which they describe as “Dream Man”. This is when the boy and girl start their mission, shall we say, to bring back Rock ‘N’ Roll and find the hidden instruments Queen hid in Wembley stadium when Rock ’N’ Roll was banned. Along the journey they discover the true meaning to Rock ‘N’ Roll and encounter humour and romance.
Unfortunately in October 2009 the London performance finishes, but not to worry it also starts touring all over.
In my opinion this show is a must-see and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good theatrical production.
