The southbound carriageway of the A1 will be closed from Monday June 1 to Wednesday June 3, between 8pm and 6pm as part of an ongoing project to upgrade the road between Dishforth and Leeming.
During the closures, southbound traffic will be diverted onto the A61 at Baldersby, joining the B6265 southbound at Ripon to the A168, before rejoining the A1M at Junction 48 Boroughbridge.
Road users are advised to follow the clearly-signed diversion routes and to allow extra time for their journeys, and to check traffic conditions before they travel.
* As a result of upgrades to the A1M south of Wetherby, changes are to be made to the junction numbers to make sure they run in order.
From Monday the A1(M)/M1 Hook Moor junction number will change from 44 to 43; the A1(M)/A64 Bramham Crossroads junction number will change from 45 to 44; the existing A1/A659 Grange Moor junction will become A1(M) Junction 45 and the existing A1/B1224 Kirk Deighton junction will remain A1(M) Junction 46.
Changes to road signs in the area should be complete by Monday, June 8.
