CISSE may already have left Sunderland but he is still racking up points - on his driving licence.
The 27-year-old France international was fined and hit with six penalty points after driving at more than double the speed limit along Sunderland Road, Cleadon, South Tyneside.
Cisse was caught doing 81mph in the 40pmh zone in his new Lexus as he drove to Sunderland AFC's Whitburn training ground on Tuesday March 31.
Cisse - whose loan spell from Marseille has now ended - did not appear at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court yesterday but in a letter he said he "didn't realise just how fast" he was going.
The court also heard of the charity work he does and that he drove thousands of miles from his house in Cheshire to the training ground during his one-season stint.
Cisse, who also has a home in Sunderland, admitted speeding.
The £60,000-a-week centre forward scored 11 valuable goals for the Black Cats in 32 appearances last season, finishing second top scorer behind Kenwyne Jones.
He parted company with Sunderland on Sunday after helping them finish two points above the relegation zone, with rivals Newcastle and Middlesbrough suffering relegation.
The £10m-rated striker has now left the region and is expected to return to his French club next season.
