A GREEN fingered duo have teamed up together to create a new business to help locals keep on top of their gardens.
Emma Csöppü, a retired RAF sergeant at Catterick Garrison, and Tom Richardson have formed the company Two To Mow A Meadow.
The pair began the company earlier in May to help people in the area with general garden maintenance.
They have already secured clients in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and Yarm, Teesside.
Mrs Csöppü, whose husband’s parents fled the Hungarian uprising of 1956, served for 18-years in the RAF where she met her husband Jamie.
She has also spent time as a volunteer gardener at Anglesey Abbey – a National Trust property near Cambridge.
"My grandparents were keen gardeners, as was my father, so I picked up a love of gardening from an early age," said Emma, 39, who is also a keen allotment holder.
"I’ve always enjoyed gardening for myself and friends, so it’s great to be able to turn a hobby into a living.
"No job is too small, whether it’s a one-off tidy up or a regular lawn cut."
Tom, 32, of Northallerton, spent 11 years as a gardener at Judges Country House Hotel, near Yarm, Teesside, when he was made redundant.
He said: "I’ve been keeping busy looking for work since then, but I’m happiest working outside so I’m really excited about our new venture."
