A TEESDALE village is expected to turn out in force for its annual village carnival next weekend.
Mickleton Carnival will take place on Saturday, June 6 on the Village Field.
The festival, which is over 100 years old, will start with a fancy dress parade and judging at 1pm. There are five categories in the fancy dress competition: Under 5s, 5-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-16 years and Adults and Groups.
All afternoon there will be stalls, childrens entertainment and a display from Teesdale Flyball dog team.
Childrens sports start at 3.15pm with prizes being handed out at 4pm.
There will also be a raffle at 4pm followed by a Tug of War at 4.30pm.
Donations of prizes or goods for any of the stalls would be appreciated.
Marion Hutchinson, one of the organisers of the carnival, said: "We always tend to get a good turnout of people from the village as well as people down on the caravan site too.
"Its a very popular event which has been going for a long time now.
"Were hoping for good weather, but if it rains we have the village hall next door."
