A 15-year-old Scarborough boy with a passion for marine wildlife has won a family trip to the Greek island of Zakynthos for his efforts to raise money for a turtle sanctuary.
Matthew Newsome raised £240 with a sponsored fish count at Scarborough Sea Life Centre for the new turtle rescue centre on the island, which is home to hundreds of Loggerhead turtles.
The holiday will include a visit to the new sanctuary and a turtle spotting boat trip with local experts.
