CARTOONIST Cluff, who sketches for The Northern Echo as well as Private Eye and the Spectator, will showcase some of his work at a historic theatre.
The Dales-inspired exhibition by Cluff, whose real name is John Longstaff, will take place at the Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond, North Yorkshire, from June 4 to July 1.
Mr Longstaff, who was born in Darlington, started selling cartoons under the pen name Cluff 27 years ago, and has been the The Northern Echo’s cartoonist since 1990.
He recently completed a set of drawings inspired by Swaledale and Weardale.
Emma Vallance, marketing officer for the theatre, said: “We are delighted that John has an exhibition in June.
“This summer he produced a cartoon for the front cover of the theatre’s What’s On brochure.”
The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
Entrance is free.
