Art and design is at the heart of the food and craft fair to be held at Newby Hall, near Ripon this weekend.
Starting on Friday, May 29, The Shop@Newby Hall, the stately home’s new British art and design centre, will have demonstration and activities for kids of all ages.
Artist Jess Travers will demonstrate sculptural willow weaving at the centre; she is one of the exhibitors in Newby Hall’s Contemporary Sculpture trail, which opens on Tuesday, June 2.
On Saturday there will be presentations by Keswick-based pencil making company Derwent and Balance Me, who make eco-friendly aromatherapy products.
Jess Travers and Balance Me will also demonstrate their skills again on Sunday.
Throughout the weekend there will be art workshops for children run by the Same Difference global art project and displays by many local artists and furniture makers.
The Shop@Newby Hall is open from 11am-5pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
