DETECTIVES are appealing for information after the theft of several thousand pounds worth of jewellery.
The theft took place at a house in Pilmoor, near Thirsk, on Thursday, May 20, between 9am and 6.30pm.
Initial police enquiries suggest the offenders may try to sell the items locally in the Hambleton area.
The thieves took a gold coloured plain bracelet, a 20inch metal gold coloured link chain, gold coloured hoop earrings, silver and metal brace earrings, amber and gold coloured earrings and a sapphire and diamond eternity ring.
They also took a sapphire and diamond engagement ring, a solitaire diamond ring, a gold coloured Seiko watch, a black leather jewellery case, a laptop computer and a Canon digital camera.
Anyone who can help the police trace the thieves or stolen items should call PC Steve Alderson on 0845-6060-247 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
