A CHARITY bike ride has set the wheels in motion for a bumper fundraising day.
The Middlesbrough Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre held its annual event in blazing sunshine yesterday.
About 60 people of all ages took part in the bike ride, including two pensioners who were riding a tandem.
The 25-mile circular ride started and finished at Eaglescliffe, near Stockton.
Mike Horsley, who organises the event, said: “The weather was perfect, the route was perfect and there was about 58 people taking part.
“The youngsters did the short route and had certainly worked up an appetite.”
The organisers are hoping to raise in excess of £2,000 from the bike ride.
