THOSE who died at sea have been honoured at a ceremony.
Two commemorative plaques were unveiled following a service to remember people in Redcar and east Cleveland.
The ceremony, at Redcar Cemetery, also mentioned those who continue to save lives.
Representatives from the sea cadets, RAF, Army and Redcar lifeboat crew attended.
The event marked the culmination of three years of work by the Friends of Redcar Cemetery.
Workers have restored the cemetery’s rose garden and created two memorial gardens.
