A MOTORIST believed to have collapsed at the wheel has died after his car crashed through a wooden fence.
David Yard, 67, from Quarrington Hill, County Durham, left the B6291 to nearby village of Coxhoe at 7.20pm on Saturday.
His Nissan Micra collided with a fence and came to rest at the top of an embankment.
A spokesman for Durham Police said: "It is believed that the driver died from natural causes."
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0345-60-60-365.
