POLICE responded to a possible firearms incident in Darlington this weekend but are treating the call that sparked the operation as a hoax.
On Friday evening an anonymous call was recieved stating that a man had possession of a firearm and ammunition.
A search of the North Road area, and the man's home address yielded nothing and police said on Saturday they believed the call to have been a hoax.
