THE North Yorkshire Rotters, a volunteer group who work to reduce the amount of food waste we produce and teach composting skills, are to be celebrated as part of National Volunteers Week, June 1-7.
There will be a social for all Rotters, and anyone interested in becoming one, at Northdale Horticulture, in Northallerton, between 6.30 and 8.30pm on Wednesday, June 3.
On June 4 there is a Rotters information session at RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate, at 6.30pm, followed on June 6 by an all-day Rotters training session at Community House, Ripon, from 10am to 4pm.
