A HOUSING body has introduced late-night appointments for tenants to arrange repairs.
East Durham Homes is to offer residents the chance to book a repair until 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Jack James, Head of Neighbourhood Services (Repairs and Technical), said: "We understand that it can sometimes be difficult for tenants to arrange appointments around their work or other commitments.
"Hopefully, by offering evening appointments we can make life a little bit easier for anyone who needs a repair to their home but is struggling to find the time."
Appointments for repairs can be booked from 8am to 6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays; 8am to 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays; 8am to 3.30pm on Fridays and 8am to noon on Saturdays.
