A FOUR-year-old boy who was airlifted to hospital yesterday following a three car smash is recovering in hospital.
After extensive tests, the child was found to have sustained nothing more serious than bruising to his pelvis and abdomen.
His 11-year-old sister will today recieve treatment for cuts to the face.
The two were injured in a collision which happened on the A1 slip road near RAF Leeming, North Yorkshire, at Junction 47.
The cars involved were a grey BMW, a white Honda Accord, and a red Fiat Bravo.
