THE owners of two valuable antiques stolen in a raid on a rural house have offered a £5,000 reward to catch the burglars.
Burglars broke into a house at Sutton Park in Sutton-on-the-Forest near Easingwold, Thirsk, at 3am on Wednesday, May 21.
They smashed a window to get in and stole two antiques both worth around £20,000.
They took a Charles Henri Cordier bronze bust of an oriental woman and a Meissen Teapot in the form of a monkey.
Police would like to hear from anyone who heard, or saw, anything suspicious to get in touch.
They are also warning antique dealers to be on guard in case they are offered the articles for sale by the thieves.
Anyone with any information should call police on 0845-6060-247 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
