A REPECTED furniture maker has designed an exclusive range to go on sale at the 17th century Newby Hall.
Treske, of Thirsk, was commissioned earlier this year to create the Newby range of hand-crafted goods.
The stately home, near Ripon, brought in Treske after seeing its previous work for the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
The range consists of a chair, table and sideboard and it is to be sold at The Shop at Newby Hall.
Daniel Hornsey, of The Shop at Newby Hall, said: "We’d seen Treske’s recent work for the Victoria and Albert Museum and for Ripon Cathedral.
"The high level of craftsmanship was exactly what we were looking for."
Newby Hall was built under guidance from Sir Christopher Wren and it contains some of Thomas Chippendale’s furniture.
The Treske range is the first furniture commissioned by Newby Hall since then.
Justin Bartlett and Russell Clynch, of Treske, will be at Newby Hall from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May to launch the range.
