POLICE have named a North climber who died after a fall on a Scottish mountain on Monday.
He was Matthew Elliott, of Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The 31-year-old was one of two climbers involved in the incident, near the Am Bastier Ridge, on the Isle of Skye.
Members of the Skye Mountain rescue team and the coastguard helicopter from Stornoway were involved in the rescue operation on Monday afternoon.
