TRAINEE Robin Hoods can try out archery as part of a series of fun half-term events lined up on the North York Moors.
The Whitby Company of Archers is to provide hands on experience to visitors.
It forms part of the North York Moors National Park’s week of fun and it takes place on Monday, May 25, between 10am and 4pm with entry £3.50.
Survival tips are to be offered on Tuesday, May 26, when hints on building a weatherproof shelter are to be given.
The session runs between 10.30am and 4pm and it is aimed at nine to 16-year-olds with entry £15.
On Wednesday, May 27, staff are to help visitors create personalised t-shirts for just £5 in sessions run through the day.
All of these events take place at The Moors National Park Centre, in Danby.
The park authority is also running a day looking at what lurks in rock-pools on Thursday, May 28, at Runswick Bay, near Whitby.
Sally Smith, the park authority’s events and exhibitions co-ordinator, said: "There’s a lot for youngsters to do this half term in the beautiful surroundings of the North York Moors.
"While the children are getting rid of some excess energy, there’s a range of exhibitions to keep the adults entertained."
