A FAMILY fun day looking at the past will be held in Chester-le-Street next weekend (SatJune6) Chester West and Central Community Project will hold the event at Bullion Hall , Bullion Lane, on Saturday June 6 from 11am to 3pm.
Outreach and support worker Karen Smith said: "Beamish museum will work with the youth centre to do Peg Dolls and Proggy Mats and we will have the Chester-le-Street Heritage Group coming to show what the street looked like years ago.’’ Other attractions will include games for under-fives, plate decorating, face painting, bird box and insect box-making, a teddy bear raffle, go-kart racing and visits by fire brigade, ambulance and police personnel.
Admission to the event will be free.
