RAMBLERS still have time to sign up for a walk between two North- East churches.
The 12-mile Bede’s Way Walk, from St Peter’s Church, in Wearmouth, Sunderland, to St Paul’s Church, Jarrow, will raise money for Christian Aid.
Places are still available for the walk, which starts at 10am.
Shorter, more accessible walks start from 2pm.
The day will conclude with refreshments at Bede’s World and a service at St Paul’s, in Jarrow, led by the Right Reverend Tom Wright, Bishop of Durham.
There is no registration fee, but walkers are asked to raise a minimum of £40 sponsorship (£60 per family). Entrants under 18 must be registered and accompanied by an adult.
Register at bedewalk.neast.
org.uk or call Christian Aid, on 0191-228-0115. The deadline is May 31.
