In association with the British Historic Kart Club the Teesside Autodrome and Teesside Karting will playing host to historic karters from all over the UK and Europe on the weekend of Saturday 23rd May and Sunday 24th May.
50 karts will race wheel to wheel at speeds of 100 miles an hour on the UK's longest kart circuit at 2.4 miles long.
The races will be open to all Classic, Historic and Vintage Gearbox Karts in the following categories: 125cc single or twin
200cc single or twin
210cc single
250cc single or twin.
All Karts on parade will have been manufactured before 1983 and will be aircooled.
Spectators and visitors are welcome free of charge to watch these karts race or to listen to some great tales of yore which the older racing drivers have to tell. There is a licensed bar on site to help enjoy the convivial motorsport atmosphere with catering available too.
